Alex Weatherstone is a former member of Bridges, serving as the head of distribution of the Weather Station.

History

Like most of the Bridges personnel Alex Weatherstone was probably one of the members, even if not part of the core staff, choosen for the first westward expedition and, just like the others, he was a fervent supporter of the reconstructionism promoted by Bridges. He was posted as a medic in the Weather Station to keep an eye on the skeleton crew, like make sure their heads stayed right, and somewhere along the line to processing deliveries and, in the end, becoming the Head of Distribution of the facility. Also, thanks to his medical knowledge, he also took care of the health of his colleagues at the station.

At the beginning, however, the facility was a weather station only by name, because all the meteorological data collected where of a small area and don't shared with nobody because the facility where not connected with the network. It is only thanks to Sam's expedition to the west that not only is the structure finally connected to the Chiral Network, but also finally operate at 100%.

Post-UCA Establishment

After the UCA was established, and Bridges ceases to exist, Alex aspired to join his old boss, Deadman, who had moved to a former geophysical research station in Mexico to conduct his studies, and Benjamin Rivera, from the C1 South Distribution Center, helped him make the move, with the two have been close ever since.

Thanks to his knowledge about the weather and geological phenomena, such as tar, he is very useful in unpvéi the mystery of the Death Stranding by looking into humanity’s relationship with the Beach, among other things, and helping Deadman in his research.

During his expedition to connect Mexico to the chiral network for Drawbridge, Sam connects the research lab to the network, finally delivering the MF bullets prototypes, but not before defeating the newly formed BTs in the ruins, and it's Alex himself who welcomes him, happy to see the porter once again.

Note

• He is modelled after Canadian born ACRONYM designer, Errolson Hugh. He is also seen in the documents that come with the Death Stranding X Acronym J1A-GTKP Jacket collaboration, showing the different wear methods and features.
• Based on the clothes he wears, Alex wear the suit of the Bridges Security Team, despite his role as the station's head of distribution and even a medic.
• Alex is one of the few characters who wonders if other nations outside the American continent survived the Stranding and the willingness to find out what happened.
