Armor Plates are equipments that are worn on the shoulders and hips to protect against gunfire.

Overview[]

Armor Plates are piece of protective equipments that Sam can mount on the shoulder or thigh slots of his suit. The armor plates gave him more protection from gun fire (by MULEs, terrorist or even the soldiers from the Beach). While the basic version provides low impact protection, the improved versions not only lightens the alloy, but also implements an electromagnetic shield, which runs on battery power, to reduce the damage of impacts even on uncovered body parts. The higher the level of improvement, the better the performance of the armored plates are.

The greater the number of armored plates, for a maximum of 4, the better the degree of protection, however this reduces the number of cargos Sam can carry on him.
