A backpack cover can be added to Sam's backpack. Once added, the part of Sam's load that comes up to his shoulders will be protected from the effects of timefall. The cover protects the load by absorbing timefall, so it will eventually wear out and need to be replaced.
There are two levels of backpack color. Level 1 is silver in color and offers basic protection from timefall. Level 2 is gold in color and offers extended protection.
This customization feature is unlocked by completing orders from the Collector.
In-game description
Lv. 1
A protective cover for the backpack that protects cargo carried on the back from timefall, and prevents it from falling off when under attack.
The cover itself will deteriorate when exposed to timefall. If it is destroyed, it will no longer be effective.
