The Climbing anchor is a tool that Sam can use to more easily traverse the world by safely ascending and descending steep slopes and cliffs.

The climbing anchor is a small tool. It is a long metal rod which, when driven firmly into the ground, creates an anchor point for a strand to be attached. Once primed, a climbing anchor combined with a strand can allow someone to safely ascend and descend steep slopes and cliffs. The maximum length of strand that can be attached to a climbing anchor is 30 meters.
Climbing anchors are typically used by porters, such as Sam, when traversing the world, and once places one somewhere in the world, it will then become available for other porters to use when making their own deliveries.
