The Deployable Shield is a multi-purpose, defensive item that allows Sam to protect himself from enemy fire just as much as it can be used to non-lethally attack hostile targets.
Overview[]
A shield that provides protection from frontal attacks. It will block incoming projectiles and explosive blasts as long as it has sufficient durability, and can be placed on the ground to form a makeshift barricade.
Note that it provides no protection against electrical attacks and vog, or from attacks made from sides or rear.
If the shield is equipped, it can be used to attack enemies in front of you, inflicting non-lethal damage.
