Episode 12: Bridges is the 12th of the episodes in Death Stranding.

Story[]
Deadman travelled to The Beach to confront Amelie. Fragile meets with Sam and Deadman at a private room, revealing that Amelie was behind the terrorism and extinction agenda. Amelie turned Higgs into an "Agent of Extinction", being made into her Homo Demens. The Eastern region is being affected by constant timefall.
Fragile's soul is deteriorating, so Sam must deliver cryptobiotes to her at the Capital Knot City Isolation Ward. Sam will have to eliminate a whale BT once he reaches Capital Knot City, ending the region wide timefall. Sam meets with Lockne, Heartman, and Deadman at Fragile's room. Sam hands Fragile a cryptobiote, waking her from her coma. Sam hands over Lou to Deadman, and is tasked with confronting Amelie by any means necessary to stop her at the risk of never being able to return from The Beach, After accepting his task, he is sent to The Beach by Fragile.
Walkthrough[]
During the entirety of the episode, the map will be covered by Rainfall, and chiral printers will be disabled, preventing the player from fabricating equipment. When traveling from Port Knot to the Distribution Center, the player will encounter Jellyfish BT's in the mountain between the two. At the eastern end of the mountain, the player will have to fight an Octopus BT, which can be avoided by taking the rightmost side on the mountain. When the player is travelling to Capital Knot City from Waystation West, the player can climb the mountain to avoid fighting the Lion BT's on the flat left side of the mountain.
Whale BT Boss Fight[]
Once at the entrance to Capital Knot City, Sam encounters a giant whale BT, and must kill it. The whale has laser attacks, and can ram into the player. The best, and hunter BT's will chase the player during the battle. As the battle progresses, the whales fins will turn purple, and the whale will use multi-laser attacks. Gold colored tar will signal where the whale will do a breaching attack where it rises from the tar. The best weapon against the whale is the hematic Quadruple Rocket Launcher because of its large size and health pool.
