The Floating Carrier is an item used to transport cargo when deployed.

Overview[]

The Floating Carrier help the user transport huge cargo over long distances and, due to its ability to float, the carrier is unhindered by any rough terrain. Carriers slowly consume the user's chiral crystals as they are used and for this it will stop automatically when its supply of crystals is depleted. Floating Carrier can also be use as a mode of transport if no cargo are present, by jumping in. Up to two can be connected at one time. Other than cargos, all carriers can also hold 2 body bags each containing corpses only.

Models[]

Name Descriptions Materials Required Size Weight Unlocked by
Floating Carrier (LV.1) A floating tractor cart that travels largely unimpeded over rough terrain. Carriers are automatically deployed when placed in the field, and can then be loaded with cargo and attached to the waist. Carriers use chiralium to float, and expend chiral crystals while in use. They can also be used as a mode of transport, and up to two can be joined together. L 1.0 kg Initial unlock to the Weather Station
Floating Carrier (LV.2) An improved version of the Floating Carrier (Lv. 1) that is capable of carrying more cargo. Notes[]

  • Floating Carrier (Lv. 1) can carry up to 300kg and up to 6 XL containers in volume (see conversions), while Floating Carrier (Lv. 2) can carry up to 600kg and also up to 6 XL containers in volume.
  • Floating carriers consume chiral crystals at the same rate regardless of load or movement. Crystals will be expended as long as you are connected to a carrier.
    • Floating Carrier (Lv. 1) consumes ~20 crystals per hour. One crystal lasts ~3 minutes.
    • Floating Carrier (Lv. 2) consumes ~30 crystals per hour. One crystal lasts ~2 minutes.
    • When two carriers are linked together, their consumption is stacked. For instance, Lv. 1 and Lv. 2 carriers used together will consume ~50 crystals per hour.
  • Jumping will cause any carriers you are pulling to "jump" with you.
  • You can ride a tethered carrier as long as it's empty, even when you are linking two carriers together.
