Nicolas Winding Refn is a Danish film director, screenwriter, and producer. He provided the motion capture for Heartman in Death Stranding. His involvement was announced during the release date reveal trailer, which premiered on May 29, 2019.
Refn is known for his role as director for the film Drive, and as writer and director for the films Only God Forgives and The Neon Demon. Prior to those projects, he wrote and directed the film Valhalla Rising, and cast Mads Mikkelsen in the leading role. His upcoming television series for Amazon Video, Too Old to Die Young, features an appearance by his friend, Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima.
