The WM Masher12GA Shotgun is a modular lethal anti-personnel weapon manufactured by WellMax.

Overview[]

The Masher12GA Shotgun is a semiautomatic shotgun developed to be quick and powerful to use in close quarters. The shell have more impact if fired at close proximity of the traget. The disassembled components of the rifle are stored and carried in a cargo case, attached to the Bridges suit, and can be quickly assembled when the need arises.

Since the base model doesn't use Sam's blood, it is useless against the BTs but can actually kill other humans, which is a problem in the world post-Stranding, since corpses can lead to more BTs and a potential voidout.

As other WellMax weapons, the Shotgun is extremely modular, and can be improved with additional accessories, like: optical scope, increased ammo capacity and the capacity of firing hematic bullets. Also, two variant models are present: the WM Masher12GA NL, a non-lethal variant, and the HG Custom, which can shot golden bullets coated with chiralium, making it even more effective against BTs.

Shotgun (Lv. 2) An improved version of the Shotgun (Lv.1). It is now capable of firing hematic shells, which are coated with Sam's blood, and therefore effective against BTs. Also features increased ammo capacity, and an optical scope for improved accuracy. A shot from close range can easily knock a target unconscious or cause severe impact damage, making this an ideal close quarters weapon. Shotgun (HG Custom) A specially customized riot shotgun that can be loaded not only hematic shells, but also with golden shells, which are even more effective against BTs. Note that using golden shells will expend chiral crystals. Also features increased ammo capacity, an optical sight for improved accuracy, and an under-barrel grenade launcher. The grenade launcher can be loaded with four types of ammo: anti-BT hematic rounds, lethal grenade rounds, slip rounds, and non-lethal tranquilizer rounds, enabling it to be used in a variety of combat situations on a variety of targets.

  • The WM Masher12GA is named "Shotgun" in the game.
  • The Lv. 1 weapon holds 8 rounds with another 32 in reserve. The Lv. 2 weapon also holds 8 rounds, with 40 in reserve. As with other weapons, Sam's ammo stores can be replenished by resting in a Safe House.
