A Spare Magazine is an item that, when carried in the Backpack or on Sam's Suit, will automatically replenish held weapon ammunition.

When Sam is carrying an empty weapon in his hands, the Spare Magazine will replenish the ammunition of that weapon, up to the weapon's standard ammo count; it will not replenish more ammunition if Sam is using the Spare Ammo Container backpack upgrade. Using a Spare Magazine will create an Empty Spare Magazine item that can be Recycled.
The Spare Magazine will replenish weapons such as the Handgun, the Assault Rifle and even the Grenade Launcher but it will not replenish the Multi-rocket launcher.

Spare Magazines are often carried by Terrorists in the camp to the South of the Evo-Devo Biologist.
