Tarman is a member of Drawbridge and the captain and pilot of the DHV Magellan. He is also the resident doctor of the ship and a geophysicist.
Story[]
As a member of the Drawbrige and captain of the DHV Magellan, he is in line with Fragile's intentions and in support of Sam's expedition. When the porter recovers a strange "chrysalis" from a "hellish place", he and Fragile prepare to analyze it. Using an autopsy saw, the captain cuts the chrysalis, and with Fragile they open it, discovering not only that it is filled with a tar-like liquid but also a girl inside. Analyzing the liquid, the captain discovers that it contains amino acids, similar to that of the tar from which BTs come out.
